Dental veneers or porcelain laminates are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length. They can be used to whiten your teeth, close spaces, and even straighten crooked teeth.

This procedure requires two appointments. At the first appointment, we prepare the tooth by buffing the front of the tooth and edge of the tooth. We remove this minimal amount of tooth structure to ensure that the final veneer does not look thick or bulky. An impression is then taken that is sent to the lab for fabrication of the final restoration. A temporary is then placed on the tooth or teeth involved. At the second appointment, the veneer is bonded into place similar to a fake fingernail.
